Shareaza crashes upon startup

Hi,

Ever since the last Shareaza update (a few months ago), my shareaza will not even start.

When I try to start it, I get a message stating "Shareaza.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" With the option to send an error report to microsoft or not.

What can I do to solve this problem?

I've done a fresh install on a few occassions.

Surprisingly, telling me to update my operating system wasn't very helpful either.

Upon crash Shareaza generates error report which can be sent to me for future investigation please.

Very tempted to just give up on Shareaza, and I've been using it happily for years. the lastest updates have completely screwed it.

Shareaza can generate nice and very useful crash logs itself if it had a chance to start. Seems it crashed before it start working and with error code "c000001d (illegal instruction)", so this points to incompatible (too old) CPU. You can use debug builds (which is very compatible) or ask someone to compile Shareaza release for old CPU.

Oh right. So a bit of software that has been working for years without any issues, now suddenly won't work because you've released a later version / upgrade.

In order to get permanently rid of the startup warning, just add the command line option "-nowarn" to the shortcut you're using to start Shareaza.
