Mysteries of the Soundcard

There were different players installed for playing soundfiles.
But for some reason, the soundcard will not work.
The only sound is comming out from the left front side speaker.
Except playing a (video)-file from Youtube. Suddenly surround is working.
Absolutly confused. Using Win8.
With XPSP3 surround is working like it has to do.

Sorry, but we don't specialize in those things over here. I don't think we will be able to help you with this...

You never knew, if isn't someone here wich has a P4N sli XE, too and has solved this issue.
And you never knew if isn't someone here, helping mir here, too.

After installing Tomb2013, now surround is working. ( hardware change, 8.1 ) But only in seamonkey.
All other players, still on left.

Ticket was closed. Because surround bug is feature request.
Said the guy from vlc.
