I think we should think about this as for longer time SourceForge seems may not to be the place capable to hold our trafic w/o problems IMHO.
BUT 1) enter page (the top level I mean like eg wiki MainPage, download page, Shareaza home page) should stay here, so if anyone would do whatever with next domain that should be problem only of redirecting links to another one.
BUT 2) there will be backups, and they always will be periodic and at disposal of more then one person, just in case if someone would decide to do sth against Shareaza
BUT 3) I think there should be initial screen saying: "Shareaza is open source and Shareaza trademark is owned by Shareaza Development Team. By entering here or to any page/site of the Shareaza project, especially the site, forums, bugtrucker, you accept this and also accept that all what you will contribute to project will become a GPL3 licensed content and you do it on voluntaree basis. If you do not accept this you express this by not entering. To enter clik [OK] or [I accept this statement and confirm this is true], please note you IP will be recorded as a prove of evidence that you have accepted the above initial terms of use and status of Shareaza trademark. For not enter leave this page and do not enter again until you will accept this."
BUT 4) I think there should be added a screen in instalator saying: "Please notice that Shareaza is open source software, and as such was in past an subject of enemy actions like domain hijacking or publishing malware soft pretending legitimate Shareaza client. So we kindly ask if you would notice sth outstanding or abnormal please let us know and consult Shareaza team at IRC (there is IRC built in this client) or consult Shareaza page in Wikipedia or see Shareaza website or post at Shareaza forum or ask other but trusted Shareaza users. This way you will be able to check if any problems of this kind just has happened. By informing you about this way we try to prevent Shareaza users against scum and malware attacks, as we believe that prevention is best way to avoid problems and we just can't foresee all possible kinds of actions against free open software. It has also realised that user awareness of this threat was the best protection for users against problems. You can question or read more at forum in section <security> "
We most probably will need a better place also because daily traffic was noticed to be 12k unique persons a day, if I have understood statistics properly. This was probably also motivation to this hijack. Slow working was a reason to move last time as I remember, and we will face to this sooner or later. But this time security should be taken seriously, and prevent at last from threats we are aware. And we don't have to do it until we will be sure all aspects has been considered and we are prevented from "surprises". We also can think about many variants like different locations etc. etc.
