Play item from upload window

dear beloved,
you changed the double click action which i liked alot before:
in the uploads window, a double click on an media item (current or finished) started playing the song.
The new double-click action goes to Library with the media item highlighted.

Please put a substitution for my little favourite feature, like support that immedia playing from the right-click context menu of that media item from the uploads window.

please dont ask me why i liked this feature. i just used it frequently and i still missing it, though its a month now with the software-update.

Can anyone confirm this? I currently don't have uploading media files, so I can't tell...

alvato, are you talking about the latest stable version (2.5.2.0) or about the latest daily build(s) (v2.5.2.2)? In the first case, you might want to try out the debug builds that is downloadable at the bottom of the Shareaza downloads page, as your problem might have already been fixed.

hi m8,

i was using version 2.5.2.0 (stable release).

I just downloaded Shareaza_2.5.2.2_Win32_Debug_r8581_2010-04-21.exe, still the same behavior.
Double click from an upload item (transfer window->Uploads) brings me to librare with media item preselected.

I searched the settings page for a configuration for this behavior, it doesnt seem to be there.

This is probably deliberate, since most users use the library to play files. I guess the intended purpose is that you see something wrong about the file in the queue and go to the library with its file management functions to fix it. Something like changing the share status or the file name. But sure I used to start media files from upload queue as well and the change confused me. However after getting used to it, I actually prefer the current system as it shows me the entire folder the file is which is usually full of related files I would also be interested in. Still clicking "open or play" should do exactly that instead of "go to" however convenient. Maybe the best would be to have "open" as double click action and "go to" as an extra option on a selected file?

+1 to having the option to play the file direct from the upload window.

This is the bug. r8590.
In Uploads button "play" at bottom indeed opens Library instead of just play or intelligent preview for not completed files.
I propose:
1) fix button "play" to start play in currently set player or start preview
2) add in context menu item "show file in my Library"
3) FR: add in settings drop down list like for "when I click close box Shareaza will...", so allow define behaviour in this case. Proposed items for list "when I click on file in Uploads Shareaza will...": play or preview file; show file in Library; start browse remote client downloading this file.

I am neutral, I dont use this. But remember somebody wanted to have "show in my Library" possibility. So this is good to add this and resolve this bug. IMHO.
I think when button play will be fixed also behaviour will be as used to be before.
