Problems Searching on EDonkey, please help.

Hi Everyone,

I'm not great at stuff like this so can't figure out what is going wrong with shareaza and edonkey. I've set up port fowarding and that works fine so I'm pretty sure thats not my problem,

Basically when I turn shareaza on most times it connects straight away to edonkey, however after a little while it will disconnect itself and then reconnect again but this time no search results will come up. The only difference I can see is that the name of the edonkey server does not appear, everything else remains the same.

Does this happen to anyone else or does anyone know how to fix this? I have attached a pic to better explain what I mean.

In Shareaza [help] menu there is "connection test" make it, if not passed your firewall can be set wrong, there is link for that case. This is essential.

Also, Peer Guardian will cripple ed2k, as almost every server IP is flagged as "Anti-P2P"

BTW Its true. This can be simply checked by connecting to such server and waiting for several minutes, if no ed2k clients stands in your upload queues then this server is a stub or fake and provide no search ability for clients.

If anybody ever sees PeerGuardian or any other blocklist-based firewall blocking any known-good
ed2k servers let me know right away (either here or at Bluetack) and I'll investigate and unblock it if
it checks out. Corrections usually come out by the next morning.

Report bad servers too, of course.
