slow down load and files not completing

I have gone back over the install guide by old death the 2.4.0.0 one.
Are there any major differences using this install guide when I am running 2.5.3.0
And still I am down loading very slowly. I am trying to down load several large files. By large I mean 26.21 GB, 57.52 GB, and 252.57 GB. A couple of these have downloaded and reached verifying and then went back to 20-25% downloaded starting over.
I have run speed test Down Load is: 7.00 Mbps & upload is: .8 Mbps Ping was 1372 ms.
I have my setting in Shareaza set at max for in coming and .870 for outgoing.
My files are only downloading at the rate of 40 Kbs to 60 Kbs with 20 to 80 sources.
I have my connection speeds set at inbound: 5621.75 KB/s and outbound: 1024.00 KB/s
Why am I not loading at a faster rate? And why are the files not finishing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to complete a couple of these files for over a month now.

How many sources do your downloads have?

Do you pass the connection test (see the help menu of Shreaza)?

25 plus sources. I could understand problems with 3 to 10 sources but all of my large files are over 20 sources.
I pass connection test with flying colors some times now tonight I run the test and it does not pass.
I can not understand why it passes sometimes and sometimes it does not.

Most probably there is a problem with the UPnP on your router... Have you tried doing the port forwarding stuff manually?

well i just bought a new router. After 4 hours i was able to get Shareaza to pass the connection test. Looks like files are down loading. have a couple close to 99% will see if they finish. My entire problem may have been my router going bad. thanks for you help.I really do appreciate it.

Yes, The new router passes the test.
I still have problems down loading large files. One file is 54.7 GB. It down loaded for a week or more. then reached 100% then verifying- then back to 95% down to 70% and re-downloading again. I have no issues with getting one movie or or small file. But it seems that the larger ones will not finish downloading. Can you give me any ideas on how to get the file to complete. I have tried to go into the file proprieties and ran assume file 100% and also forget current verification and re-verify. This has not helped as the file is now down to 70% complete where 10 hours ago it was verifying.
Another question I have is there a way to only down load 5 files in a Torrent that has 15 files in it. I am downloading movies. the file has 15 movies and I only need 5 of them? Thanks for your help! Old Death I really appreciate all you do for Shareaza. Hope you can help me on this.

As for the second question, I can help you: If you go to the advanced options of a download, you can select the priority of the different files in a multi file torrent download. By selecting the priority *sorryIForgotTheName*, you can prevent a file from being downloaded at all.

As for your first issue, could you tell me what type of download is triggering the problem (torrent, G2, gnutella, eD2k?)?

It might be that there are one or more clients in that BT swarm you're downloading from that do intentionally upload wrong data to delay the download of the file(s) you're trying to get. This happens sometimes as the media industry tries to destroy all sorts of P2P technology, which you can also see by the spam you're getting in searches, BTW. But they will never succeed. However, the issue should solve itself if you give it enough time... You will have to be patient...
