Problems with magnet and edonkey links.

Postby bichodosol » 22 May 2012 15:17

Good morning, I have the following problem, I installed one of the current versions of Shareaza debug, then uninstalled it and installed other programs to deal with edonkey, and magnet links (in this case, Emule and Utorrent) but when I click on any of these links nothing happens, I have to copy and paste into the programs, some could help me find a solution ?

Sorry for bad English, I'm using online translator

The problem appeared after I installed Shareaza, debug version, it did not occur in previous versions debug or stable, but it is a lesson for me not to install more. :D

Magnet link handling is registered within the operating system by the application that handles them. So in theory there should not be any differences between multiple applications supporting them.

However, some browsers (like Opera, for instance) allow selecting the application to handle certain link types (magnets included) independent from the OS settings, so you might be lucky finding what you need in order for your other program to work correctly within the settings of your web browser.

Thank You!I managed to solve the problem in the browser " Opera", adding the protocol to manually open the respective application, as in " Chrome ", " Firefox " and "Internet Explorer " the problem still exists, but my main browser is " Opera" then solved for now, but once again thank you for helping me find the solution !
