Most common problems are answered here. Problems are separated by their respective category. If you do not see your problem in a certain category, check the "Misconceptions" category. Note, that the problem you are looking for might actually be a feature, rather than a bug of Shareaza, respectively a bug in a program outside of Shareaza, or maybe just a misinterpretation.

If your problem is not on this page, try using the search function in the Forums. Less common questions are often answered there.

General:

• How to clear Incomplete folder from unused files?
• What are the default settings?
• XP SP2/3, Win Vista: Are there special things that need to get attention on Windows XP Service Pack 2/3 and Windows Vista?
• Shareaza uses too much bandwidth. (I can't use the Internet while Shareaza is running)

Downloads:

• My downloads are slow or stopped

• My download finished, but I dont see it my library
• When we have downloaded a fake file and we try to delete it, it is used by an application
• My download speed is displayed incorrectly
• My download percentage goes backwards (98% complete won't finish)
• My BitTorrent download seems to be stuck

User interface:

• Shareaza uses too many resources (high CPU and memory usage)
